Pick of the Week: Metrokane Rabbit Wine Preserver

61nkYp3HkwL._SL1500_We’ve all been there – you open a bottle of wine to see that you poked a hole through the other side of the cork. Or worse, you opened the bottle of wine and let it sit for a few days and it tasted kind of funny because of that. With this handy set, you won’t have to worry about either of those again.

The Metrokane Rabbit Wine Preserver is a little rubber, well, wine stopper, but what makes it unique is the pump that comes with it. After you put the stopper on an already-opened bottle of wine, you put the pump on top of it, and pump it until you feel resistance. It essentially vacuum seals the wine and keeps it fresher much longer. Not only that, but if you wanted to lay the bottle down on its side, you don’t have to worry about anything spilling out because of a broken cork.

It’s a small investment for $12, but they generally come with two wine stoppers and one pump. You can find them near the check-out counters at liquor stores.
