Over time, fashion has been regarded as a cyclical art. Many trends that enter through a revolving door just to fade as quickly as they came. However, their disappearance is not permanent, but rather an indicator that the trend is “out of style” for the time being.

Similarly, shoes can also regain popularity. Though sometimes one of the most overlooked elements of an outfit, they can also be the most important. With this realization, people are embracing a wide range of footwear that used to be popular such as Adidas and Pumas. This brings up the question: Will Skechers ever be on the rise again?
Do Skechers Deserve Hype?
A big factor when it comes to purchasing sneakers is comfort. A great sneaker is highly durable, has perfect cushioning and a good arch while simultaneously being fashionable. If you are walking around all day, it is important that your feet feel supported.
The materials Skechers are made of are perfectly formulated for maximum comfort. On their website, many of their shoes are described as having a flexible traction outsole and a cushioned insole. There are also hundreds of reviews from customers leaving positive comments. Many consumers agree the sneakers are durable, comfortable and breathable.
There are many shoes that have an unspoken age range. However, Skechers do not have this kind of age restriction on them. On any given day, you may witness both a five-year-old wearing light-up Skechers and an elderly person wearing suitable slip-on Skechers.
This makes the pool of customers more diverse. Anyone can buy a pair of Skechers and enjoy their various benefits!
The Comeback Effect
There are other shoes on the market similar to Skechers that are currently trending. Within the past few years, New Balance has undergone a resurgence of popularity. Alongside them, Asics is also growing in popularity.
Both New Balance and Asics reflect the cyclical nature of fashion. While once incredibly popular, the two brands lost significant attention as people shifted their focus to the next booming sneaker.
However, as the saying goes, “what’s old is new again.” With relentless marketing and new designs, New Balance and Asics have experienced a comeback. New Balance has several popular styles, such as their 530, 9060 and 990v6. In addition, Asics has multiple best sellers from their GEL-1130 to GEL-KAYANO 14.
If New Balance and Asics can regain popularity amongst society, then maybe there is hope for Skechers. I guess we’ll just have to wait for the revolving door to keep spinning to see if Skechers will enter the room once more.
