The Kardashian Fascination

1008-keeping-up-with-the-kardashians-1I never understood the world’s fascination with the Kardashians until recently. Over spring break, I somehow managed to watch four seasons of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. I don’t like reality television, so why do I, and the rest of the world, love the Kardashians? Here are just a few of my reasons.

Bruce Jenner

Seriously, who doesn’t love Bruce Jenner? Remember that time he found out Kim, Khloe and Kourtney were doing a bikini shoot in Mexico and left Kendall and Kylie with his young son so he could fly to Mexico to stop the shoot? That’s only something Bruce Jenner would do. He doesn’t really seem to fit in with the Kardashians because of his conservative, less materialistic views, but I can’t imagine the show without him.

The stupid fights they get into

When Kourtney and Khloe asked the guy at the Bentley dealership why Kim’s car was taking so long to be ready, Kim flipped out and started a huge fight. The best quote from that episode? “You are just so jealous that you can’t get a Bentley… So get away you jealous, psycho b*tch!” The Kardashians always have really crazy, intense fights but always seem to get over them. I don’t know any family that fights so much, but it makes for great TV.

Scott Disick

Scott is crazy but utterly hilarious at the same time. As much as I hate him and think that he’s an awful person, I want to see more of his antics. In one episode of KUWTK, Scott went to London and became royalty after purchasing the title on the Internet.

“Whether it is Sir Disick, Lord Disick, or Count Disick, becoming royal is really gonna get the respect that I deserve. Like, I don’t need to be walking around like some peasant.”

After his knighting ceremony, he proceeded to snub “commoners” at a nightclub appearance, and denied them photos and handshakes. Typical Scott.

Seeing the Kardashians’ lavish LA lifestyle

They live in multi-million dollar houses, fly on private jets, buy designer clothes, do photo shoots constantly, drive expensive cars, and I could go on. Having been to LA, I can definitely say that most people in LA don’t live like this, and LA isn’t as luxurious as they make it out to be, but we can dream, right?
