Repeating fashion trends is nothing new but we’re here to announce that 2016 is back! Music festivals are the start of this specific fashion movement. With Coachella and Stagecoach wrapping up, many celebrities and influencers have gone back to the past with fun 2016 outfits lined up. The best part is that many of us still have outfits from this time period and it’s officially time to be creative again.

Bring Up the Fun

During the past few years, it has been common to walk around and see people wearing the same clothes with minor differences. For a night out, it was a tank top and jeans. Even now, we see people dressing like their friend group, which could in part be the group mentality to look like a united front. It’s a nice gesture, and could occasionally look coordinated but a lot of the time, the looks become overused.

Somewhere in your closet there has to be something from 2016 that you’ve kept “just in case it came back,” well guess what? It did! 2016 was fun and crazy and the rules were limited. Mix and match patterns and metals because who cares, it’s what you like. This era was the era of studs, off-the-shoulder tops and ripped jeans. Tumblr outfits are back and there are so many ways to get creative.

Studs Are So In Again!

Get your studded pants and shirts out because they came back just in time for music festivals! Studs are a fun and easy way to elevate the most basic look. You could be wearing basic jeans and a shirt, but if either of those has studs, you have just made the cutest 2016 outfit.

Studs could be pretty much anywhere on your outfit and it could be considered “a look.” Adding studs and different metals to your accessories also makes them look just a little more fun.

Boho-Chic Everywhere

Back in 2016, there was little left to the imagination. In this era, collar bones were exposed and knitted clothes brought small holes exposing little parts of your body. In these cases, you were the outfit. Showing parts of your skin, not in a seductive way but more of carefree life.

This fashion trend of 2016 was very boho-chic and allowed you to be creative with how you styled your clothes. Think of Vanessa Hudgens’ Coachella era, this is what we’re trying to embody.

Give Us More Of You
