Close your textbooks, turn off your laptop and log out of Canvas…the end of another school year is finally upon us. At Penn State, that doesn’t just mean writing a brutally honest Rate My Professor review — the end-of-year free concert for Penn State students, Movin On’, is held the night of the last day of classes. Each year brings a new lineup of artists for students to enjoy, so who is coming for the bicentennial show on May 2, 2025!

Student Opener: Fez

Winner of Movin’ On’s Battle 2025, a show featuring eight student performers fighting for their stage spot at Movin’ On 2025, is the band Fez. Their alternative-rock music features heavy electric guitar and drums on some songs (Stuttgart Stu), and swinging melodramatic tunes on others (Stay Home Tonight). Fez is proving itself as a band with a unique sound worth giving a listen to, but don’t forget to check out their website while you’re at it.

Headliner: The All-American Rejects

Headlining Movin’ On 2025 is The All-American Rejects. With the peak of their career run being in the late 2000s, the band will bring back all sorts of childhood nostalgia for concert attendees. The Rejects are characterized by their angsty emo-pop sound, with intense electric guitar and drums that amplify the cynical love story lines of Gives You Hell, Dirty Little Secret and Move Along. If you’re someone who wishes they were old enough to attend iconic emo pop concerts like Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco and Jimmy Eat World when they were leading the charts, this is your opportunity to get a taste of that experience.

Pusha T

The annual Movin’ On lineup wouldn’t be complete without a rap artist, and 2025 didn’t fall short. Despite Pusha T just reaching a mainstream audience in the early 2010s, he’s been in the game since the ‘90s and is acclaimed for his wordplay. Pusha T has worked with several high-profile artists throughout his career including Pharrell, Kenrick Lamar, Big Sean and Chief Keef (the last three being collaborators with him on Kanye West’s Don’t Like.1). Pusha T famously had beef with Drake in 2018, releasing The Story of Adidon, which exposed Drake for hiding his son (Adonis) from the public and using Black culture for his own personal gain.

Baby Tate

The third of the top three performers for the festival is Baby Tate. An artist with much to offer, she has a discography dating back to 2015 spanning pop, hip-hop and R&B. You’ve probably heard her on your social media feed before, since several songs by Baby Tate have gone viral including Hey, Mickey!, STUPID and Sl*t Him Out.

Claire Rosinkranz

The last of professional performers, Claire Rosinkranz brings the pop that we all love and need at Movin’ On. Beginning her music career only six years ago, Rosinkranz garnered a wider audience from her song Backyard Boy that also gained popularity online (although VALLEY recommends giving Frankenstein a listen). A mix between Clairo and Sabrina Carpenter, Claire Rosinkranz loves writing love songs with a bit of cynicism disguised by a catchy beat.
