Megan Pete, better known as rapper Megan Thee Stallion, hasn’t put out new music in a hot minute, but she’s definitely been busy. While her music career is her main claim to fame, the founder of “Hot Girl Summer” is forging her own path by diversifying her professional portfolio.

Yes, you read that right; Megan Thee Stallion has added another alter ego to her list as she is now a Popeyes Franchise Owner. Her location opened this January in Miami, according to Complex. Not only did she open her custom Popeye’s location, but she also partnered with the company to create her own sauce—“Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce.”

It’s not all about enfranchisement and expanding her brand as Popeyes partnered with Thee Stallion to make a “six-figure donation” to Houston Random Acts of Kindness, according to Popeyes Newsroom. The rapper is originally from the city of Houston, so this was a major opportunity to give back to her community.

“I’m appreciative of Popeyes commitment to empowering Black women and look forward to opening Popeyes Restaurants,” said Megan Thee Stallion in a press release. “Teaming up with Popeyes is such a milestone in my journey and evolution as an entrepreneur.”

Although she’s built her entire persona off of being a baddie, Megan has never hidden her nerdiness. Whether it’s cosplaying characters from “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure” or presenting an award at the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, Megan’s love for anime is constantly on display.

Now, she’s taking her passion for the animated medium to the next level by partnering with “The Boondocks” producer, Carl Jones, to create her own show “Hotties.” While we’re still awaiting a release date, amongst other details, we do know the rapper has recorded lines already for a character, according to Complex

If being a rapper/songwriter, franchise owner and anime creator weren’t enough to boast a booming career, she can now add “Broadway performer” to the list. Megan Thee Stallion will be making her Broadway debut in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” as Zidler—a traditionally male role.

She’s making history as the first female performer of this role ever; if you’re lucky, you can catch her from March 24 to May 17 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, according to Playbill

In a statement to Playbill, Megan Thee Stallion said, “Stepping onto the Broadway stage and joining the ‘Moulin Rouge! The Musical team is an absolute honor. I’ve always believed in pushing myself creatively and theatre is definitely a new opportunity that I’m excited to embrace.”
