Jeans have been the staple piece in American culture for as long as VALLEY sees. Ranging from casual looks, all the way to classier ones. It is improbable that jeans will go out of style, they are timeless pieces. Jeans are always evolving in fashion culture and many different styles have come and gone. Jeans are an essential item for your closet.
Trends are always changing in the fashion world and it can be hard to keep up. The jeans that are in style or trending right now are baggy and wide-leg jeans. These styles started to become popular after the pandemic, which changed fashion. Streetwear fashion from the 90s influenced the baggy jean style that has gained popularity among the new generations.
Jean Styles

Baggy and wide-leg jeans fit more comfortably because they are loose and they provide a relaxed fit. The low-rise baggy jeans have gained the most popularity. TikTok during the pandemic brought back older styles for new fashion inspiration and that’s how this new jean era started.
Mom jeans were popular, but they never had their moment like other jeans had. Mom jeans arose around the 1980s and had its moment back then. They never stuck permanently in one era, but mom jeans have been scattered around and are still worn today.

Skinny jeans will always be iconic because they were popular for a long time. The millennial statement piece became popular in the early 2000s into the 2010s. Skinny jeans fit very snug and they hugged tightly around the legs.
When they first became popular, low-rise was the way to go. Low-rise skinny jeans were the it pants during the 2000s, along with the low-rise boot cut. They gave a rebellious look that many celebrities wore. When the 2010s came, the high-rise skinny jeans were very in and they were more comfortable to wear.

The flare jeans were more popular around the 1960s and 1970s. When thinking about flare jeans at that time, the first thing that comes to mind is the hippies. Flare jeans embodied the new, different style from the more conservative ways of dressing back then. It was a movement. Today, flare jeans are still being bought because of their unique shape.
