TS & TK: Are the Rumors True?

Fans know that Taylor Swift is very open when it comes to the rumors about her. The artist has always been addressing them in song lyrics and more. However, this rumor has yet to be deemed true. Popstar Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce, have been rumored to be dating for weeks now, and the evidence just keeps becoming more convincing. Some fans are thrilled, and some, not so much.

The rumors surrounding Swift and Kelce’s relationship began around early September, but had little evidence to actually support them. On September 24th, during week 3 of the NFL season, Swift was in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs vs. Bears game, seen in a suite with Kelce’s mother. Then the following weekend, Swift once again attended the Chiefs game at MetLife Stadium where they played the New York Jets.

Swift’s fans, also known as “swifties” are huge fans of this new relationship. The fanbase has been trying to gather up evidence of this relationship since the rumors began in early fall, and these past weekends were just the cherries on top. The Swifties think this is a great relationship that Swift is getting into, after her breakup with ex boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, earlier this year. Since neither Swift or Kelce have yet to make an official statement on the status of their relationship, it is safe to assume that this is still a fun dating stage.

However, to Chiefs fans, this relationship is getting annoying. Fans of the Kansas City team have complained about how when Swift attends games, there is more coverage on the singer than the game itself. Many are bothered by how sports broadcasters are making extra efforts to include Taylor Swift lyrics and quotes in their descriptions and commentary during games. Many Chiefs fans also get very offended when swifties refer that Swift has put Kelce on the map.

After the Chiefs defeated the New York Jets on October 1, Philadelphia Eagles player, Darius Slay, says, “Taylor, do not come to the game ’cause it seems like you bring the energy of winning,” in reference to when the Eagles play the Chiefs at Arrowhead in week 11. The Eagles player mentioned how the team has gone 2-0 with Swift in attendance, and playing them at their home field, Swift might be their “good luck charm.”

Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, did not have much to say about meeting the popstar, and her new relationship with his son. She was interviewed just the other day, and talked about how she does not wish to discuss her sons personal lives, and rarely do they even discuss that with her. She explained her time spent with Swift as “okay” and hardly elaborated on the subject. Donna was seen in a box with Swift both weekends the singer was in attendance.

With this, what are your thoughts towards this new relationship? Did Taylor truly put Travis on the map? Will the Swift good luck streak continue in the Chiefs upcoming games? If Swift is in attendance at the Chiefs vs. Eagles game, will she be wearing Chiefs or Eagles? Let us hear your theories on social media, and make sure to tag VALLEY to see ours!

  • With almost everything that appears to be developing within this area, many of your viewpoints are actually somewhat radical. Having said that, I beg your pardon, because I do not give credence to your entire idea, all be it exhilarating none the less. It appears to us that your opinions are generally not completely validated and in reality you are your self not entirely certain of the argument. In any case I did appreciate examining it.
