Getting Ready

Picture this: you are in the bathroom of your apartment, scrambling to get ready for class and leave on time. Today is a hoodie and sweatpants kind of day, but you want to make it cute. You put on your favorite sweat set and pair it with some jewelry. You decide to put on a little bit of lip gloss and mascara to brighten up your look. For the hair? Today is a messy bun kind of day.

You don’t have all the time in the world, so you decide to throw it up. Except … this messy bun is messy. Too messy. So you try again. Wait, now it’s too … perfect? You think to yourself, “What is happening? I just wanted a plain old messy bun.

After the twentieth try, you still cannot get it. It seems that the more you try, the increasingly worse it gets. Frustrated and rushed, you slam your hairbrush on the bathroom counter and rush out of the house, devoid of a messy bun.

Throughout Your Day

Once you leave your apartment, you go grab some coffee and then head to class. After that, you go to the library to study for a little bit before your next class. The library is quite warm, so you decide to put your hair up to cool down and get it out of your face while you’re typing away on your computer.

And would you look at that … you just made the perfect messy bun without even trying.
