The Lion Does Not Concern Himself

Burnout season is upon us, and everybody is struggling to stay afloat. Here is VALLEY’s take on what the lion does NOT concern himself with.

Skipping 8 a.m. Classes

The lion does NOT concern himself with skipping his 8 a.m. This is the year of academic comebacks. Although your bed feels like the coziest place in the world, try doing the “1-2-3 method.” Count down from three, and once you finish you have to get out of bed, NO MATTER WHAT. This will force you to physically stand up and once you do that, class doesn’t seem so bad. VALLEY predicts a LinkedIn post about making a Dean’s List in your future.

Blacking Out On A Weekday

The lion does NOT concern himself with blacking out on a weekday. We get it. Den Tuesday, $2 tequila shots and a situationship to drink away, it’s almost too easy. We’re not saying not to go out — it’s still college after all — but try going dry every so often or maybe even implement a reward system. Don’t let yourself get messy drunk unless you ace that test.

Being Hateful

The lion does NOT concern himself with being hateful. Especially in today’s political climate, it’s almost second nature to judge or be unpleasant, but it is imperative to think of the others around you and how they might be affected by your words (especially the ones that haven’t been thought through).

Losing

The lion does NOT concern himself with losing. Hate to say it, but the lion may have to get used to this one.

Hookup Culture

The lion does NOT concern himself with hookup culture. Hookup culture is a thing of the past. Besides, it’s cuffing season. Find yourself a nice partner and settle down for the colder months. Baking holiday cookies and exchanging presents with someone who loves you is the best way to stay out of a weather-induced depressive rut.

“Sleep When I’m Dead” Mentality

The lion does NOT concern himself with “sleep when I’m dead” mentality. It may be hard to break this cycle, but your body needs real sleep to be able to function. At least two days out of the week try to be in bed by 12, and although very tempting, do not scroll on TikTok. Those Jake Paul AI videos will still be there tomorrow.

If you’re an engineering major, it’s an exception — Sleep when you’re dead.

One more thing: One thing the lion DOES concern himself with is VALLEY, stay tuned for launch information!

I have been browsing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be a lot more useful than ever before.
