Taylor Swift had her own Eras Tour but most recently she’s been in her ‘New Heights” era. Millions of people tuned in world wide to get some insight into pop culture’s most watched couple. Many viewers were hoping to finally grasp if what Taylor and Travis have is love or lust.
Taylor’s Music and Influence
Taylor Swift’s music is full of stories, many of which are love stories. Swift’s early albums represent teenage love and the excitement behind being ‘Fifteen’. As Taylor evolved as an artist her lyrics became more complex, portraying heartbreak and discovery. Her music has been an outlet to so many, featuring tunes that are widely relatable but at the same time utterly specific.
Furthermore, her influence spans worldwide, as her Eras Tour was one of the most sought out tours to attend. Swift’s tour transformed some economies because of the amount of traction the tour was bringing to certain cities. The “Swiftie” fandom created many symbolic rituals, one of which were friendship bracelets. Swifties would make beaded bracelets and exchange them with anyone at concerts.
Taylor and Travis as a Couple
Travis Kelce was one of the many celebrities that experienced the Eras tour, except he came prepared with one goal in mind. Kelce attended the tour with a friendship bracelet with his number on it, in hopes of meeting Swift and giving her the bracelet. It later came out that he never met Swift, but that would change very fast.
One thing led to another, and the two are now pop culture’s topic of conversation. Although the couple keep their relationship private, Swift has been seen attending lots of Chiefs football games, and Kelce went on tour with her for a bit. As the relationship grew, Swifties have become Kelce fans. On the other hand, NFL fans are frustrated with the amount of screen time Taylor attracts on Sunday football.
Most recently, Swift’s feature on the Kelce brother podcast ‘New Heights’ made fans intrigued. She announced the release of a new album and also left viewers with subtle hints of future appearances. The couple seemed to be completely immersed in one another. The Swifties are convinced that this relationship is the real deal, given she went on his podcast to promote her new album. This is unlike Swift, given how large her fandom is. The question of love or lust is clear: the two are head over heels. So much so the two announced their engagement a week later.
It is safe to say Taylor Swift is in a new era of her life. An era that’s filled with love and excitement and the Swifties are eager to see what’s to come.
