Female football fans are carving their own space in football culture. From participating in fantasy football or game-day fashion, it’s clear that women are loyal to their teams and know how to throw a great Sunday watch party. Challenging the Stereotype
For too long, football came along with the narrative that women only watched for the halftime show, the cute players or due to a friend or boyfriend who loves the game. While that may be true for some, die-hard female fans know the game all too well, but that comes with a sad price. Getting quizzed on the players or having someone try to explain everything that’s happening during the game is common for girls. Some of the essential snacks are wings, chips and dip, soft pretzels and many more of the classic finger foods. Add in some fun drinks, and that calls for the perfect watch party that can be leveled up with decorations or a chill Sunday on the couch.
Football Sundays are about tradition and connection, maybe mixed in with a lot of anger at your favorite team.
