I Would Hate If My Enemy Did That…

It is hard to juggle an academic, social and physical life in college. It is easy to procrastinate and let the to-do list roll over to the next day… or the next week.

But what about a new approach to implementing your goals into your daily routine? The idea is simple. Most of the things you would hate for your enemy to start doing, you probably want to do. This is a great indicator of what you wish you were doing for yourself. And hey, you don’t even need to have an enemy. Think about a person who wronged you. What would you not want to catch them doing?

Going to the Gym

The most basic answer. Nobody wants to see the person they hate working towards their dream body in the gym.  If you don’t have one yet, come up with a workout routine that you can maintain to help you achieve all of your gym goals. While lying in bed, imagine your enemy back at the gym for the fifth time this week.

Picking Up a New Hobby

Hobbies are cool. Especially if they are unique. Spending your time doing something you are genuinely passionate about makes you a more interesting person. It can be something crafty like painting or knitting, but it can also be adventurous, like backpacking or snowboarding. The key is finding an activity that brings joy while feeding an interest to grow.

Studying and Getting Good Grades

Academic validation is real. Your enemy is studying and getting good grades? While you are using ChatGPT for every assignment? Time to make a change. Prioritizing your academics and putting in the effort for your future is the key to success. Get behind the books and get learning. Your GPA will thank you.

Making a Lot of Money

This could mean getting a job and being able to afford new clothes and fun concert tickets, but it could also mean saving money and not getting a $7 Starbucks drink for the sixth time this week. When you go out to eat, think about your enemy walking past the restaurant and choosing to skip out to save that money. Chances are, that idea will make you want to skip out as well.

Maintaining their appearance

Regular visits to the nail salon, putting on a cute outfit for class or walking around with a flawless face of makeup. Anything that helps to upkeep a person’s appearance. The reality is, we want to look good. Imagine your enemy putting in the work always to look picture perfect. Start doing those things too. Invest in your appearance now so you can thank yourself later.

It’s a normal human feeling not to want to see your enemy succeed. But the truth is, the things you don’t want them doing are what you should start doing. What are you going to start doing? Let us know on Instagram @VALLEYmag!

  • I have realized that of all sorts of insurance, medical care insurance is the most questionable because of the struggle between the insurance cover company’s obligation to remain afloat and the user’s need to have insurance policies. Insurance companies’ commissions on health and fitness plans have become low, therefore some companies struggle to profit. Thanks for the suggestions you talk about through this blog.

  • Hey would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

  • You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation however I to find this matter to be really something which I believe I would never understand. It kind of feels too complex and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next put up, I?¦ll try to get the cling of it!

  • The following time I read a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I mean, I do know it was my option to read, but I really thought youd have something fascinating to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you possibly can fix if you werent too busy on the lookout for attention.
