From Studio Partners to Spouses: Benny and Selena Tie the Knot

You now may kiss the bride. On Sept. 27, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco tied the knot. After years of musical collaboration the two finally found themselves together. They made their relationship public at the end of 2023, and it has been history ever since. 

Selena’s Background

Selena’s rise to fame was nothing short of easy. As a child star, Gomez endured circumstances many kids can’t relate to. At the age of 12, she was scouted by Disney Channel and only a few years later she starred in the hit show, “Wizards of Waverley Place.” The beginning of her career made it clear: she would be a star. In 2009, Gomez started producing music and has been an inspiration to many ever since. In the past few years, Gomez has released a makeup brand called Rare Beauty. The brand is a representation for mental health awareness and breaking down unrealistic standards of perfection. Selena herself has had this belief for many years now and showcases it through all her work.

What does it say about a man’s love if he’s willing to change his name for you?

Introducing the new and improved Benny Blanco Gomez. Known as a hit-making music producer and songwriter, his love for music started in his bedroom. Benny would make hip-hop and electronic music from his humble abode before he found success. He had chart topping songs between 2000 and 2010, featuring artists like Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Ed Sheeran and Selena Gomez. With Benny being a well established producer in the industry, it’s no surprise that his hit songs led him to his future wife.  

The Love Story

The two first met in 2015 through people in the industry. Later on, Selena worked with Benny to produce her songs “Same Old Love” and “I Just Can’t Get Enough.” In an E! News interview Benny says their relationship is perfectly described as a “friends to lovers” tale. Their feelings for one another grew in the studio doing what they both love most.

Selena and Benny look genuinely infatuated with each other. Their social media presence together is warm and filled with love. The vibe they share with viewers seems fun and easygoing. Although the two have spent the majority of their careers and lives in the spotlight, this relationship seems real and raw. Viewers would say it’s the opposite of a PR stunt, and the bond these two share goes beyond the Hollywood Hills. Cheers to the new married couple and years of love and laughter!
