This past year has been a massive year for music. From chart topping singles to breakthrough debuts, 2025 has given us no shortage of unforgettable musical moments. With the 68th Annual Grammy Award’s nominations right around the corner, anticipation is at an all time high. We here at VALLEY couldn’t resist sharing our predictions for who we think could be potential nominees, along with who may be the one to take home the award.
VALLEY’s Predictions for Album of the Year
- Bad Bunny – “Debí Tirar Más Fotos”
- Bon Iver – “Sable Fable”
- Kendrick Lamar – “GNX”
- Lady Gaga – “Mayhem”
- Lorde – “Virgin”
- Sabrina Carpenter – “Man’s Best Friend”
- The Weekend – “Hurry Up Tomorrow”
- Tyler, the Creator – “Chromakopia”
When it comes to this year’s Album of the Year, VALLEY anticipates the top three names being Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga. There’s no denying that each of these artists dropped an era defining album that set the tone for 2025 – but let’s be honest, all eyes are on Gaga for this award. “Mayhem” isn’t just an album, it’s daring, theatrical and unapologetically Gaga.

VALLEY’s Predictions for Record of the Year
- Alex Warren – “Ordinary”
- Chappell Roan – “The Subway”
- Gracie Abrams – “That’s So True”
- Kendrick Lamar & SZA – “Luther”
- Lady Gaga – “Abracadabra”
- Rosé & Bruno Mars – “APT”
- Sabrina Carpenter – “Manchild”
- Sombr – “Back to Friends”
Record of the Year celebrates the total package of a song, including its performance, production and the overall sound and feel of it. This year’s list of potential nominees are stacked, but some standout names for VALLEY are Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter and Alex Warren. However, all signs point to Sabrina and “Manchild” being the ones to take home the award. This past summer the song was a radio dominating anthem, and there’s no denying that it’s pop perfection.

VALLEY’s Predictions for Song of the Year
- Addison Rae – “Headphones On”
- Doechii – “Anxiety”
- Elton John – “When This Old World Is Done With Me”
- HUNTR/X – “Golden”
- Justin Bieber – “Daisies”
- Kendrick Lamar & SZA – “Luther”
- Lady Gaga – “Abracadabra”
- Sabrina Carpenter – “Manchild”
Slightly different from Record of the Year, Song of the Year is all about the writing that it takes to create the song. The lyrics, melody and storytelling are the bones of a song that stick with us even once it’s over. It’s predicted that there will be some crossover from these nominations and Record of the Year, however the names that keep getting brought up as possible contenders to take home the award have been Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Kendrick Lamar. If it was up to VALLEY Kendrick and SZA would be the ones receiving the award for “Luther,” hands down.

VALLEY’s Predictions for Best New Artist
- Addison Rae
- Alex Warren
- Lola Young
- Megan Moroney
- Olivia Dean
- Ravyn Lenae
- Role Model
- Sombr
Best New Artist may be the most exciting category of the night. It’s less about who’s already made it and more about who’s about to take over. This year has had a lot of breakout contenders, so nominations can be a wildcard. VALLEY thinks some notable names we may see are Addison Rae, Olivia Dean and Sombr, but all of us here are rooting for our girl Olivia to take it home.
