Let’s rewind and travel back to 2019. You’re opening TikTok and you happen to come across a video of a girl trying kombucha for the first time, “Kombucha Girl.” Otherwise known as Brittany Broski, she had such a viral video, that she became a huge social media personality and her life has changed completely.
Broski now has huge platforms where she talks about many different topics like her podcast, “The Broski Report.” She also has a Youtube channel where she interviews other celebs and influencers called, “Royal Court.” We know who she is now, but who was Brittany Broski before, and what was her life before she became viral?
Before The Fame
Her actual name is Brittany Tomlinson, she grew up in Dallas, Texas and went to Texas A&M University. She graduated college in three years and became a licensed insurance agent. At the time that she became a meme, she was working in a bank in trust and investment services. Like all of us, Broski was a contributing member of society, living the regular lifestyle… until everything changed.
Kombucha Girl
Just one video, one video can change the direction of your whole life. Broski recorded herself trying kombucha for the first time, her reaction was genuine. When she uploaded her video to TikTok, she got views, but things changed when other people started to caption her video and they got more and more views.
Her meme was growing rapidly and she blew up instantly. She gained a massive amount of followers on every platform. Going back to her bank job, she did unfortunately get fired from her job because of that video. Little did she know, Broski was going to have so many more opportunities in her career.
What Was Next?
Broski started to post more skits and comedic videos on her TikTok and created her fanbase known as “Broski Nation.” Her videos did extremely well because others could relate to her, mostly because she always speaks her mind.
As her platform grew, she started to get invited to red-carpet events and she would interview celebrities. Broski is a huge music fan and she ended up meeting her favorite music artist backstage, Harry Styles. She posted the video on TikTok and all of her fans vicariously lived through her.
The Report and Royal Court
At some point, everyone thinks to themselves, “I should start a podcast.” “The Broski Report” is a podcast that Broski started and it really hit off. On her podcast, she talks about anything and everything, from World War II, all the way to fan-girling over Pedro Pascal. Her podcast tends to all types of people due to its varying topics.
Along with her successful podcast, she launched a YouTube series called, “Royal Court.” In her series, she has celebrity guests and she sees if they are worthy to earn on a spot on her coveted Broski Nation Court. Orville Peck was the first guest in her series and the feedback from the audience was very positive. Her most popular video was when she interviewed Cole Sprouse and the audience fell in love with their banter.
