Versace has debuted a new style of platform heels that is catching the eye of stylists, celebrities and shoe lovers. The Versace Medusa Aevitas Platform Pumps are becoming one of this season’s trends. The heels are made up of a double platform heel, a bold block heel and an ankle strap adorned with rhinestones and a medusa charm. They come in the colors of black, lilac, fuchsia, red and yellow and are priced at $1,425. These heels can be styled with layered looks, skirts and fitted knee-length dresses.

These heels were first introduced in the Versace Fall/Winter 2021 Runway show where both Gigi and Bella Hadid debuted these heels on the runway. Dua Lipa also took part in the Fall 2021 Versace campaign where she styled the platform heels with a jacquard skirt and crop top in a La Greca pattern.

The heels gained popularity as more celebrities started to incorporate the Medusa platform pumps into their looks. Here are some of the stars that have recently hopped on the double platform trend:

Grande first appeared to wear this whole ensemble on a segment with James Corden for “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” She wore these platform heels in the color yellow, accessorized with Versace’s Satin Mini Dress shown in the Fall/Winter 2021 Runway Show.

Earlier this year, Beyonce has previously worn these platform heels in pink, paired with a black mini dress and a pink purse for a night out. This outfit completed the whole “Versace Doll Look.”

Also going for a night out, Rexha is styled in the same pair of pink Medusa Aevitas as Beyonce with a Versace satin black bodysuit paired with a buttoned mini skirt and gold jewelry.

The main principle for the rising popularity of these heels comes from the obsession with platform heels. Regular platform heels are already a trend in itself. However, with the Versace Medusa Aevitas, the double platform garners more attention. It attributes to the trendy 90’s style and the allusion to appearing taller. These platform heels are what most fashion bloggers are trying to get their hands on as this heel becomes one of Versace’s most popular pieces to date.

Although these shoes are out of the range of a college student’s budget, there are affordable Versace Medusa Aevitas Platform Pump dupes out there that VALLEY recommends.

Although these Fashion Nova heels are not similar to the Medusa Aevitas, in terms of the ankle strap, they still hold the dramatic similarities of the Aevitas and the bold platform. They are also very similar to the Versace Black Chain Pumps and the Versace Juno Heels as well.

These heels are very similar to the Aevitas as they both hold both the shape and height of the heel and the bold thickness of the platform. These heels are available in both black and light pink.
