These Boots Are Made For Walking

Oh, the struggles of Penn State fall! So many great boots to wear, but so much walking to do. Of course you want to look cute for class, but new boots give you blisters when trekking across campus.

We hate to say it, but leave the booties at home and save them for your nightlife or days of minimal walking. Sure, they’re fabulous, but not for walking. They’ll leave the balls of your feet sore and achy after a long day of classes and activities.

Valley, has got a list of boots of all shapes and sizes that WON’T give you those blisters. At every price, you can find a pair of shoes that are both comfy and cute — the two vital factors to every shoe decision.

Clarks

Clarks shoes are known for their comfort, and Valley is obsessed with the Nevella Bell boot. A low boot with a low heel that is incredibly comfortable for walking around campus, what more could we want? We promise you no pesky blisters, and they’re a snazzy addition to any closet!

Sperry

This fall, check out the Sperry Saltwater Duck Boots. These rain boots have become a hit among college students, you can see them being walked all over the Penn State campus, from those 8 a.m.s to those late study nights.

“They are super comfortable and great for the cold weather and snow,” says Olivia Shipley, a sophomore early education major. “Plus, they’re cute!”

Frye

Sophomore recreation parks and tourism management major, Emma Sheehan, wants to make sure her boots are going to last her through the harsh State College winters. She thinks it’s important to splurge for quality that guarantees comfort, style and weather resistance.

“Frye is expensive but they’re really durable. I can wear mine in rain, snow or mud and they won’t get ruined,” says Sheehan. “Even if I wear thin socks, they don’t hurt my feet or give me blisters.” Valley absolutely adores the Jordan Jodhpur Strappy boot. This riding boot is elegant with a twist, featuring leather that laces up the back of the boot.

Ugg

And of course, Uggs. From middle school to college, it seems as though that we may never escape them. Whether you will always love the classic furry Shearling lined boot or want to venture into the new realm of Ugg, these boots are amazingly comfortable.

If you are looking for a trendier look, Valley loves the Ugg Simmons Waterproof Leather Boot for women. These mid-shaft length boots are perfect for the wet winters that we Penn State students will endure, not to mention they always look sleek.

Target

Target has an astounding selection of  shoes for an affordable price, and honestly on a college student budget, what could be better!? Valley thinks the Women’s Sam & Libby Addison Moto Ankle Boots are perfect for a stylish winter at a great price!

Whatever brand, shape, size or color you choose this winter, pick a pair that makes you and your feet feel best!
