The biggest pop-up-out-of-nowhere brand we saw this year was Chelsea Parke’s brand “Parke.” When it comes to talking about the phrase, “you get what you pay for,” it tends to be true. But the question remains: Is Parke really worth the money?
Parke’s catalog includes a simple yet staple look that can make someone look put together even on their worst day. The brand is easily spotted and sells out easily with every drop, including their Valentines Collection and new Spring Collection that just dropped recently. The sweatshirts are priced around $125 a sweatshirt and $100 for sweatpants. The brand is geared towards girls in their upper teens and twenties, yet with that price range, how many can they really reach?

Chelsea Parke’s goal with launching “Parke” in 2022, was aimed to bring an elevated look to traditional denim with Parke’s now signature “Crossover Shorts,” which are priced around $165.
Now, the sustainability of these items is great, with a perfectly stitched “PARKE” placed across the front of their signature sweatshirt. Although their reputation is pristine, their price range is a major negativity for some buyers, which is what steers many organizations to make “dupes” of their merchandise for their own.

Although the brand is plastered across the front of these sweatshirts, which is what attracts most buyers, there are many other brands that are worth the money more than these.
Comfrt, a sweatset brand, is more affordable and attracts many buyers for its sustainability and (get this) comfort! The signature hoodie is priced at $65, while the sweatpants are around $30. The matching sets from Comfrt, combined, are still less than one singular sweatshirt from Parke.

Although it may not be attractive to everyone because of geography, the brand New York or Nowhere also makes its mark as a brand that is indeed, worth the money. Most of New York or Nowhere is priced around the same as Parke, although the brand is more appealing because of the collaborations.
New York or Nowhere has had collaborations with everything New York: “Saturday Night Live,” the New York Yankees, New York Mets, New York Rangers the and New York Knicks. The durability and sustainability of these sweatshirts are around the same and definitely worth the money.
So, with all that being said, do you love Parke? Share your love or your favorite brand that you think is better by tagging @VALLEYmag on social media!
