It’s no secret that the makeup world is constantly evolving. What was once the trend of cat winged eyeliner has now become graphic eyeliner.

Over the last year, graphic eyeliner has become an increasingly popular trend in the makeup world among both males and females. Unlike the popular cat-winged eyeliner that is used to help achieve more symmetry, especially those who have asymmetrical eyes, graphic eyeliner is a trend that involves creating shapes with liners and shadows on your eyelids. In addition, Graphic eyeliner is a quick and easy way to add a subtle touch of color to your eyes without going overboard.

Over the last year, celebrities such as Maddie Ziegler, Doja Cat, Lana Condor and Kylie Jenner have been seen rocking the graphic eyeliner trend.

However, this trend is not just for celebrities and red carpet events. Graphic eyeliner could be the perfect way to spruce up your makeup routine and will encourage you to get creative!

Below are four different graphic eyeliner techniques that will help you master this new trend:

Floating Crease Eyeliner

This graphic eyeliner look is perfect for beginners who are looking to add a little something special to their normal party look.

How to create:
  1. Start in the inner corner of your eye and work your way outwards.
  2. Repeat as necessary until you reach desired shape and thickness.
Separate Lines Eyeliner

This look is the ultimate dramatic look and can be used for all occasions!

How to create:
  1. Start from above your inner lash line and follow your natural crease upwards to the middle of your eyelid to achieve a smooth, even finish.
  2. Position the second line under your lower lash line and extend outwards.
  3. Repeat application until you are happy with the results!
Dotted Eyeliner

This eyeliner look is perfect for adding a subtle difference to your everyday eyeliner routine.

How to create:
  1. Start with the classic winged eyeliner.
  2. Gently dab three small dots under your winged eyeliner- make sure each dot is evenly sized and spaced between one another.
Color Graphic Eyeliner:

How to create:
  1. Choose your graphic eyeliner color.
  2. Draw along the lash line like a normal winged liner, including the flick. From the end of your liner flick, add a line inwards above the crease of your eye, following the shape of your brow and stopping half way.
