After James ‘Jamie’ Spears, Britney Spears’ father agreed to step down from her conservatorship, her life has been erupting with new events. The timeline with the conservatorship is unknown but Britney’s fanbase is excited about her deserved independence. Since then, Britney and her now long-time partner, Sam Asghari, have gotten engaged and has been seen with both of her sons.
Conservatorship No More
As fans know, Spears has been under a strict conservatorship run by her father for over a decade. A majority of her life has been controlled by her father since 2008. After years of no change and a life under supervision despite being in her 30s, fans took to social media to show their concern. #FreeBritney soon became a popular and well-known campaign.
Recently, a judge determined that it was best if Jamie step down from his daughter’s conservatorship. No time frame has been announced but it is one step closer to her being free. Spears’ lawyers have been with her every step of the way and are thrilled that this big decision was made.
Engagement
On Sept. 12, Spears announced her engagement to Sam Asghari on Instagram. The couple met back in 2016. Asghari has been an important part of Britney’s life, especially throughout her road to independence from her father. The two have not announced their wedding date as things with Spears’ conservatorship are still up in the air, but Britney did post a video on Instagram showing off her engagement ring.
Sean And Jayden
Over the past couple of years, Spears has been quiet when it comes to her sons Sean and Jayden. With her conservatorship, the custody laws that are in place are strict. Recently, a rare photo of her and her two boys surfaced on social media. Fans were happy that they both looked happy to be with their mom, who has been recently going through a lot.
