Let’s face it: nothing is more saddening than window shopping. With our other financial needs, we often have to say “no” to our exquisite fashion taste. Luckily, VALLEY is here to give you dupes for some of the world’s favorite high end, luxurious essential items. We’re here to show you staple pieces from three different price points to give you the looks you crave with the budget you have in mind.

Tops

Tell your LBD to move over because Versace is bringing back this little black top to your closet and, well, it’s making headlines. Versace’s Geometric Neckline Bustier Top is sold for $725. The simplicity of this top is perfect for any pairing, as the color and cut of it works and compliments other pieces. For any and all events, you’re sure to see this being worn by everyone, whether its under a blazer, on top of a plain top, or on its own — it’s wearable at all times.

Pretty Little Thing offers a similar top to Versace’s: the Black Slinky V Neck Vest Top. The top, only $20, can also be purchased with AfterPay, allowing for later payment and an even lighter weight on your bank account. This top offers a similar strap and fit, however it differs in cut and material.

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, Topshop’s Stretch Cotton Sleeveless Crop Top is only $10. Not only does it have the same geometric cut and straps, the fit is almost identical. This is all thanks to the paneling created that can subtly be seen in the Versace version, as well as Topshop’s.

Bottoms

Iconic Burberry check tartan — the one pattern we can all spot from a mile away. A new pattern to their clothing line, Burberry introduced gingham with the Gingham Technical Wool Cropped Trousers, which sell for $960. The trousers, made in Italy, offer a concealed hook-and-bar pattern allowing for absolutely no distractions to stray from sight of these pants.

The Cool Gingham Pants from Lulus are an alternative to the fit of Burberry’s trousers. The more fitted, high-waisted bottoms are retailed at $59. Similar to its expensive partner, these bottoms offer a concealed zipper. Fashion — but make it mysterious! These unlined bottoms offer comfort in slightly stretchy material, with 5% spandex and 95% cotton.

Looking for something extremely affordable? Chances are you’ll be looking on Shein for something trendy at an extremely low price. These Gingham Print Straight Leg Pants are only $14, but can be as low as $3.50 when using AfterPay. These cropped pants offer a large print and loose fit, and are extremely similar to the Burberry Trousers. Similar to the ‘Cool Gingham’ bottoms, both offer the high-waisted look.

Dresses

Mini dresses never go out of style. Sold for $425, GAUGE81 created the perfect illusion — flowy material that still fits the body perfectly. The Medellin Mini Dress offers a simplistic look that can be dressed up if needed and gives whoever is wearing it a flattering shape with subtle paneling.

Alice + Olivia has done it again! The Harmony Draped Satin Slip Dress is just another statement piece we need in our closets. Retailed at $295, this dress is very similar to our favorite GAUGE81 dress. Maintaining the same fit, color and length, the most notable difference is the lack of paneling and the cut of the top. This dress really does show that the simple things are effective.

Similar but different, Princess Polly puts their own twist on the ‘Medellin.’ The Norman Mini Dress is retailed at $40, but it could be as low as $10 when using AfterPay. This dress gives a fun, subtle pattern while maintaining the same basics of the cut, color and fit. This dress is perfect for all occasions including formals, homecoming, nights out, date nights…the list goes on.

Coats

The Annecy Oversized Cashmere-Wool Blend Coat comes in at the retail price of $1,110. Totême, the fashion label hailing from New York, has focused on creating pieces revolving around the concept of a modern uniform. The unlined silhouette, oversized pockets, length and blend of the jacket all draw mass appeal, as it can be worn for various occasions and styled differently.

Amour Vert’s Irene Wool Coat is currently on sale for $159. The coat offers both comfort and style with an oversized look and wool-blend. In comparison to Totême’s, it checks off most boxes when it comes to similarities. It is similar in terms of material, length, color and loose fit.

The Camel Raw Edge Formal Coat from Missguided retails at only $42. Continuing with the trend of color, oversized fit and length, we’d have to say this is pretty close to the luxury brand original. Differences include the material and lining of the product. This coat is more structured in terms of fit and is 100% polyester, rather than a cashmere-wool blend. Missguided often offers various sales throughout the year, including 10% off when shopping from their app and an extra 15% off for college students.

Shoes

Ah, the glitz and glamour that comes with the wearing the iconic red-bottom Christian Louboutins. Inspired by model Kate Moss, The So Katy Booty is sold for $995. The pointed toe, dramatic arch and perfect ankle height will truly make anyone wearing them feel as though they’re walking the runway or taking on the red carpet.

Aside from the fact they don’t have the red bottoms of course, these booties from Kendall and Kylie Jenner are close seconds. The Zoe Boot from Kendall + Kylie retails for $145. Similar in heel height, ankle hight and of course color, these boots pass our test. A noticeable difference is in the stitching along the sides, something the ‘So Katy’ pair lacks.

We’ve all seen and heard of the deals JustFab offers and we just can’t get enough. The faux leather Annabella Pointed Toe Bootie is currently listed at $15 and is even cheaper for new and current VIP members. These white booties are similar to the ‘So Katy’ in height and overall appearance. They also lack the additional stitching on the side that the ‘Zoe Boot’ offers, making them more similar to the Louboutins.

No matter what your budget is, you’re sure to find some great pieces that are pretty similar to the ones you’ve been eyeing. It’s also important to know that many online retailers participate in AfterPay, allowing for small payments over time, and signing up to be a part of a mail list for the first time can unlock coupon codes, too. By providing your school information on sites like UNiDAYS, you can unlock student discounts to use at numerous online retailers. Now add those items to your cart and keep shopping!
