This fall it’s all about the earth tones. Clothes this season are inspired by the rich, deep tones that are visible on the changing tress of University Park. Flashes of bling or a bright colors balance subdued tones like hunter green, plum purple or coffee brown.

As the leaves are changing colors, so are the outfits. To combat the fall breeze, girls have been layering decorative scarves with solid t-shirts and sweaters.

With the weather changing from sweltering heat to a brisk autumn breeze, fall boots are hitting the shelves once again. Each season brings an interesting new trend, but personally, I see three great styles at play: the ankle boot, the over-the-knee and the Dr. Marten boot.

Over the past few months, women have been strutting down the catwalk wearing menswear, and now this trend is hitting retail stores everywhere. It’s a daring look for women, but when executed correctly, makes a bold statement and looks absolutely fabulous.

With the cheerful winter season, glitter is on nearly every piece of clothing, accessory and make up one can purchase. Fun sparkles immediately draw the eye for a double take; however, the goal is for that extra glance to be in admiration not disgust. The main rule for maturely sporting this glitzy style, is moderation.

This season, comfy sweaters and structured jackets are the item of choice for bundling up and dressing up. New styles are always begging for a spot in your closet, but by determining what items to splurge on or save on, you’ll be able to afford all that your fashionista heart desires.

The last leg of 2012’s Fashion Month, Paris Fashion Week, is now underway. Designers have showed their highly sought-after collections from New York to London to Milan, while fans gush over and scrutinize the runways from personal gadgets. For, of course, Twitter let us be there for every show.
