Zendaya: Highlighter Trick

Zendaya is known far and wide for her signature glowing face, usually seen plastered all over her Instagram (we aren’t complaining!). How does she do it? “I dab Aquaphor where I want my highlight to be,” she explains, as seen in a recent Seventeen article. “Then I put my highlighter on top and boom!” Not only is this genius but it’s cheap.

Priyanka Chopra: Homemade Natural Scrubs

In this video, Chopra shows three different treatments, all of which have been passed down to her from her mother. She begins with a sea salt lip treatment, ideal for exfoliating dry and chapped lips. The body scrub, as Chopra puts it, is an “exfoliator, hydrator, moisturizes and heals.” The yogurt hair treatment is perfect for people with a dry scalp or dandruff. All three recipes are completely natural and work just as well as any other store-bought product!

Isabeli Fontana: Double Cleanse Before Bed

Makeup can be tricky to get off with just one wipe. In fact, anyone who wears makeup could probably tell you that they will still wake up with remnants of makeup in the morning, even if they completely scrubbed their face the night before. In this video, Brazilian Supermodel Isabeli Fontana recommends cleansing the face twice during your nightly routine. To follow her routine you will need a micellar water (Isabeli uses L’Oreal) and a facial mist of your choice. Soak a cotton ball or cotton pad and remove all of your makeup with the micellar water. After that, spray the facial mist and do one more scrub to make sure every last bit of makeup is off.

Sheet masks, made popular in Korea, are chock-full of a ton of amazing benefits for your skin. With vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, these masks are exactly what your skin needs, especially after a long, stressful day.

Valley recommends the following:

Sephora Collection Face Masks

Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb (CVS)

TONYMOLY I’m Real! Mask Sheet (Amazon)

Yes To Tomatoes Paper Mask (CVS)

Miley Cyrus: Lotion As Static Remover

In a recent one-on-one interview with Cosmopolitan, Miley revealed her favorite go-to beauty hack. “Lotion takes the static off your clothes!” Who needs static spray when you can use something you already have handy? Just simply moisturize your body before putting on your clothing to ensure the cloth doesn’t stick to your skin, and you will be all set to go, static free.

Denise Richards: Avocado Deep Conditioner

Who would’ve thought that avo could double as a deep conditioner?  Avocados are super rich in oils and fats, which can be perfect for moisturizing dry, split ends. Denise swears by this trick, but it you are going to try it, avoid putting the avocado in your roots (they contain enough oils and don’t need any more!)

Here’s how to try it:

  1. Spoon out the contents of one avocado into a mixing bowl.
  2. Add just a few drops of honey, olive oil and essential oil of your choice.
  3. Blend the contents with a mixer.
  4. Dampen hair with water.
  5. Rub the mixture onto the ends of your hair.
  6. Keep on for about a half hour (you can cover your hair with a shower cap if you are worried about getting too messy!)
Miranda Kerr: Using a Spoon as an Eyelash Curler

Wait… what?! Apparently this actually works. Prep your lashes by applying a light, translucent powder with an eyeshadow brush. Don’t use too much or you run the risk of clumping. Next, apply your mascara. Heat up a stainless steel spoon under running hot water and dry it off. Press your lashes into the curve of the spoon and hold for 10 seconds. Now your lashes are curled and ready to go!

Tess Christine: Coconut Oil Makeup Remover

In case you haven’t already hopped on the ever popular coconut-oil obsession train… now is the time! YouTuber Tess Christine recommends using the oil as makeup remover. Not only does it work like magic at removing makeup, but it helps promote eyelash and brow growth as well! Simply scoop out some coconut oil and lather the oil onto your eyelashes until the mascara comes off.

Shani Grimmond: Bar of Soap as a Brush Cleaner

It’s no secret: some brush cleaners out there can be extremely overpriced. However, YouTuber Shani Grimmond recommends taking a bar of soap to clean brushes. Simply hold the bar of soap under a faucet and swirl your makeup brushes around until they are clean. Not only is it super affordable, but the same bar of soap will last you ages!

Beyoncé: Priming Lashes with Rosebud Salve

Ever wonder how Bey gets those long, luscious lashes? When asked about her must-have beauty product in an interview with Allure Magazine, she responded “I love the Rosebud Salve in the blue can.” “It was like a natural mascara. It made (my) lashes hold the curl and look shiny.” Lip balm as eyelash primer? If you say so, Queen B!
